The good Commonly used features more accessible Flashy, eye-catching presentations are even easier to make Added interoperability across the suite The bad No business-grade email client iWork.com web component doesn't allow for true collaboration Lacks auto save feature Intuitive interface design and easy access to useful features make iWork the best office suite choice on the Mac. Though it lacks some of Microsoft Office's advanced options, iWork '09 is an emerging powerhouse in its own right. Apple's iWork '09 is an excellent investment for Mac users who need a well-designed and easy-to-use productivity suite

The good Free Compatible with Windows, OS X and Linux 64-bit compatible across platforms Really sexy interface Simple to use Adheres to ODF document standard The bad Memory hungry Limited feature set Doesn't open MS OOXML files Built-in web browser is painfully slow and generally horrible While the interface of IBM's free office suite is sexy, its hunger for system resources and lack of features mean that OpenOffice.org 3 is still the best free office suite. Also, watch out for Symphony's lack of OOXML support. The latest version of Lotus Symphony (version 1.2) came out of beta on 4 November 2008, and in honour of this we thought we would look at the latest release of this historic office program

The good Beautiful, large display Excellent performance Good battery life 3.5mm headphone socket microSD expansion with 8GB card The bad Some instances of lag No free navigation software It's one of the most expensive smartphones available The Touch HD is a fantastic phone, if you can afford one. It out-performs every HTC phone previously and looks fantastic doing it.

The good Includes an HDMI cable Stand adjustments are better than is usually provided for 22-inch The bad Expensive for what it offers Horrible speakers High gloss screen No DVI cable included HP's w2228h is certainly a pretty looking monitor, and includes stand adjustments not often seen elsewhere, but capability wise it's no better than other 22-inch monitors that are AU$200-$300 cheaper. Design and features HP's w2228h comes in a stylish piano black, with a spring-loaded neck that has quite a kick. Enough of a kick to destroy the foam it was packed in the moment it was removed from the box, as there seems to be no way to lock the stand down

The good Android interface Responsive touchscreen HSDPA Wi-Fi QWERTY keypad The bad Could look better Lack of 3.5mm headphone jack Lack of video recording Lack of stereo Bluetooth We're not in love with the design and would have liked some additional features; however, the Google Android platform has the potential to make smartphones more personal and powerful. With rumours of an Australian release hot on everyone's lips, it's high-time we took a good, hard look at the world's first phone to run on Google's Android OS. The following is the review of the T-Mobile G1 published by our colleagues in the US

The good 22-inch IPS panel Excellent colour and viewing angles Great gaming performance Fantastic price The bad No 1:1 scaling Inset monitor can cause reflections on bezel, and shadow on monitor The 2209WA is a monitor with very few flaws. While we'd love to see 1:1 scaling, and the inset screen may cause some users grief, we wouldn't mind two of these sitting on our desk. This is the best 22-inch monitor we've seen

The good Light and portable DVD+-RW drive Excellent keyboard Higher resolution than usual screen Incredibly robust The bad No eSATA Trackpad isn't that sensitive Annoying built-in software Horridly short battery life Expensive If you've seen last year's ThinkPad X300, there's very few surprises in store here, as the X301 is simply a Centrino 2 update. Design If you've seen last year's ThinkPad X300, there's very few surprises in store here, as the X301 is simply a Centrino 2 update. Featuring the same carbon/glass-fibre body, the X301 will most likely survive quite a drop, especially considering the solid state disk

The good Small footprint Lightweight Sleek design Individual toner cartridges The bad Poor quality prints Slow output Lacks dedicated cancel button No manual feed tray Higher cost per page than average Low duty cycle The Samsung CLP-315W is a fancy looking wireless laser printer with a clean design and small footprint, but the output quality is unacceptable and the blisteringly slow speeds will have you searching for other options. The Samsung CLP-315W is a full colour laser printer with built-in wireless connectivity that makes it easy to link several computers to the printer over a network

It's no secret that Palm's been struggling to keep up with the competition and has come under heavy criticism for its lack of innovation and delays in releasing its new operating system. So can you blame us for thinking that Palm might disappoint again
