The good Easy to use as shared storage Very fast performance Great design Affordable The bad No RAID support Hard drive is not user serviceable Lack of common features found in many NAS servers Plug-and-play features only works with Windows Vista or Mac OS X MioNet remote access service is useless If you're a novice user looking for a plug-and-play network storage device, the AU$399 (for the 1TB version, AU$699 for 2TB) Western Digital My Book World Edition is a sound buy. It has much improved performance over Western Digital's last edition and is significantly faster than almost all the NAS severs we've yet reviewed. Unfortunately, it has a sluggish interface, a useless remote access solution, and lacks many features other NAS servers offer.

Upside Kogan's Agora Netbook is cheap — super cheap. At AU$499, you'd be forgiven for thinking that this 10-inch netbook would be on the flimsy side

The good Optical drive on a nettop Fanless design Vista The bad Case feels exceptionally flimsy Low performance No DVI Vista Design You could build the DP04 yourself, or at least something that looks exactly like it. When we say exactly, we really do mean exactly

The good Very fast throughput Loads of features Robust and intuitive web interface RAID 1 and RAID 0 support Great expandability The bad Requires some networking know-how to use and take advantage of the advanced features Surveillance Station supports only one camera out of the box eSATA port located on the front Requires a tool to install hard drives Expensive Last year's Synology DS107+ impressed us with its vast amount of features, great expandability and top-notch user interface. The DS209+ impressed us even more by offering all that plus RAID configurations and unprecedented throughput speed. The unit unfortunately lacks what the DS107+ also lacked: an easy-to-use interface for the novice user.

The good Cheap for a tablet Responsive stylus The bad Temperamental touch capability Multi-touch is token only Low battery life No Bluetooth Right-facing hot air vent Noisy when under load Tinny speakers Greasy looking screen Inlaid screen makes touch difficult in the corners Tiny function keys Design and features The newest in the TouchSmart family, this 12.1-inch tablet comes with consumer-esque trappings, like an etched "bubble" design around the lip, and a glossy finish. While HP's intentions start off good, it unfortunately ends up using them to pave that oh-so-famous road — the first being that this is clearly based on the already not-so-good TX1219 . This means it inherits the right-facing hot air vent, VGA-only output and HP proprietary dock interface

The good Great keyboard Hybrid storage offers the best of both worlds The bad Noisier than most netbooks Multi-touch trackpad isn't all it's cracked up to be Design Asus' Eee PC 1000HE is the latest iteration in its seemingly unending parade of Eee products. It occupies the 10-inch space, now established as the "in" size for netbooks, and features a 1024x600 screen.

The good Excellent keyboard More efficient Atom processor Good screen size Relatively quiet Hybrid storage offers the best of both worlds No useless trial software The bad USB Ethernet implementation can be confusing Sentelic touch pad falls short of other offerings Design and features MSI's Wind U115 Hybrid is, for all intents and purposes, the Wind U110 with new bits, as is likely evident from the name. As such, the external configuration hasn't changed at all, from the excellent keyboard to the tiny mousepad with the annoying single mould button, to three USB ports, SD card reader, VGA out and headphone/microphone jacks on the sides
