The good Good print quality Smart solutions Additional paper tray Touchscreen works well The bad Slow print speeds for everything Lower tray is A4/Letter only Design Well, at a visual level, the Platinum Pro905 is a big, bulky and mostly grey unit, giving it a heavy business appearance. There's no doubt that's the market that Lexmark's shooting for with this particular multifunction, especially given the inclusion of faxing capability — fast becoming a rarity in the multifunction space — and an additional document tray that quite literally sits underneath the printer body if you choose to install it. One slight catch here is that you can't mix and match paper types willy-nilly, as the lower paper tray will only detect A4/Letter sized paper

The good Fast draft printing Responsive touchscreen controls The bad Average to poor print quality Printer body shakes a lot May encounter firewall issues Design There's only so much that any vendor can do with a printer in design terms. They're all going to have to be boxy, more or less.

The good Useful DVI and VGA inputs Excellent colour performance The bad Horrible menu controls No HDMI port This 16:9-format monitor is one of the least expensive ways to enable your desktop PC to display 1080p content, but while the G2220HD has enough style and quality to satisfy the casual user, it omits a few notable features. It's remarkably compact for such a high-resolution screen, and light enough to easily pick up and move around. It comes with dual DVI and VGA inputs but, crucially, lacks an HDMI port, which would have made it useful as a second display for a games console or Blu-ray player when your TV is in use.

The good Excellent design and mobile performance for less than AU$1500 The bad DisplayPort can limit your options without adapters Lacks eSATA port Design The HP Probook 5310m is an exceptionally sleek and thin ultraportable laptop. It's got both a fantastic battery life and real processing muscle, which is a pleasantly mystifying surprise to find in a laptop of such diminutive size. It's a matte black, lightweight tank of a thing that feels very solidly constructed

Samsung continues to dip its toe into the Google Android pond, with the Spica being the company's second Android phone, and while the physical design looks sharp, Samsung still hasn't invested in designing its own Android UI. Upsides A side-by-side comparison of specs between the already released Galaxy Icon and the new Galaxy Spica reveals only one significant difference in the Spica's favour: more power. Samsung has turned up the heat with a punchy 800MHz processor under the hood of the Spica

The good Instant boot Includes number pad on keyboard Good battery life The bad Cheap plastic finish Low screen resolution Cramped keyboard Design When closed, the Asus UL50Vt looks very impressive, with a brushed aluminium lid and a relatively subtle (for Asus) logo embedded in it. It's an illusion that's a little shattered when you open it up and realise that the rest of the bodywork is a cheap glossy plastic

The good Solid and robust in tablet and notebook form Business styled Good performance The bad Bad basic battery life No in-built optical drive Expensive Design In its notebook form, Dell's Latitude XT2 tablet doesn't look much like a Dell laptop at all. There's no shiny plastic, there's no exciting media buttons, and the whole thing looks black and somewhat intimidating.
