Apple revises super campus plans: pics

Apple has submitted revised plans for its new super campus in Cupertino, California. New details and plans have emerged, including the placement of a conference centre, a fitness centre, a car park, fruit orchards and research and development labs, as well as the proposed number of trees to be included on the massive site.

DesignCrowd and 99designs: UK battle

Aussie crowdsourcing start-ups DesignCrowd and 99designs have gone head to head, expanding at the same time to the United Kingdom, but, according to both companies, there's always room for competition. 99designs CEO Patrick Llewellyn (Credit: 99designs) US-based company Accel invested US$35 million in 99designs in April last year, while DesignCrowd sourced its funding locally, scoring $3 million from Melbourne venture-capital firm (VC) Starfish Ventures in November.

Google may have solved its issue with prepaid cards on Wallet, but an earlier flaw thought to be restricted to rooted phones may have more serious repercussions. (Google Wallet at Peet's image by kennejima , CC BY 2.0 ) Wallet was exposed to two flaws last week, the first of which - discovered by security researchers at Zvelo - allowed malicious users to obtain the PIN required to open the Google Wallet application if the user's smartphone had been rooted. The second flaw was discovered shortly afterwards by The Smartphone Champ , which realised that resetting Wallet would result in users being prompted for a new PIN, and allow them to use the prepaid card associated with the device
